Zero Critical, High, or Medium-Risk Findings Identified Across Five Months of Adversarial Testing by U.S. Cybersecurity Firm OnDefend of the DJI Air 3S and Matrice 4E 

SHENZHEN, China, May 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — DJI, the world’s leading drone manufacturer, today released the findings of an independent security assessment conducted by 
OnDefend, a U.S.-based cybersecurity firm trusted by national security stakeholders and enterprise leaders. The assessment covered the DJI Air 3S with RC 2 controller and the DJI Matrice 4E with RC Plus 2 Enterprise controller, subjecting both systems to advanced adversarial testing across software, hardware, and radio frequency domains. 

The assessment was authorized by DJI but conducted independently. To preserve the integrity of the evaluation, consumer units were procured directly from retail outlets without pre-notification to DJI, and enterprise units were sourced from existing dealer stock. All tested devices reflect standard U.S. market distribution. 

Key Findings 

The assessment produced zero critical, high, and medium-risk findings. Specifically: 

Low-Risk Findings and Remediation 

Ten low-risk findings and thirteen observations were identified, consistent with industry norms for complex mobile and embedded systems. They were primarily related to application security configurations, session handling, and wireless hardening. None presented a realistic risk to safe drone operation or to widespread exposure of confidential information. DJI collaborated with OnDefend on potential remediation during the engagement and is working to address remaining items in subsequent software releases. 

“During the window of testing, OnDefend’s assessment of the Air 3S and Matrice 4E drone systems identified no clear evidence of hidden backdoors, no data transmissions outside the United States, and no viable pathways for hijacking or weaponization. No critical or high-risk findings were observed. What Was Tested and How 

The engagement ran from October 2025 through March 2026 and was structured around three national security concerns: data sovereignty, hardware vulnerabilities, and drone manipulation risks. 

As part of the independent assessment, OnDefend conducted hardware and firmware testing that extended far beyond conventional cybersecurity validation. Leveraging its proprietary hardware testing technology and capabilities to perform advanced teardown, RF, and silicon-level analysis designed to identify unauthorized transmission pathways, covert RF channels, counterfeit components, undocumented modifications, hidden antennas, and broader supply chain integrity risks. 

On the software side, OnDefend conducted static and dynamic application security testing of the DJI Fly and Pilot 2 applications, full network traffic analysis across standard and local data mode operation, and adversary simulation including meddler-in-the-middle attacks, certificate bypass, privilege escalation, and jailbreak attempts. 

On the hardware side, the OnDefend team, enabled by their proprietary hardware testing technology, performed full-spectrum radio frequency scanning from 1 MHz to 6 GHz, PCB-level hardware teardown and component analysis, supply chain integrity verification, and RF exploitation testing including replay, jamming, and injection attacks.

This presentation will highlight results from the completed dose-escalation portion of the study in relapsed/refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL), including patients whose cancer has progressed following standard CD19-directed CAR T-cell therapy (NCT05370430). 

Among the nine patients treated in this phase, PMB-CT01 demonstrated a promising safety profile with no dose-limiting toxicities, no grade >1 cytokine release syndrome (CRS), and no grade >1 immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS). Seven of nine patients (78%) achieved a complete response (CR). At the last data cutoff, no relapses had occurred and all responses remained ongoing, with the longest response exceeding 3 years. Responding patients also achieved minimal residual disease (MRD)-negative status, indicating deep remissions with no detectable residual cancer cells. 

Building on these results, the trial is actively enrolling patients into expansion cohorts for mantle cell lymphoma, large B-cell lymphoma, and follicular lymphoma (FL). Importantly, the first patient treated in this expansion phase – a patient with transformed FL (tFL) who had progressed following CD19 CAR T therapy – achieved a CR at their first disease assessment. tFL is an aggressive form of lymphoma with limited established treatment options.

DULUTH, Ga., May 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Bridge to Life™ Ltd., a global innovator of commercial stage organ preservation and perfusion technologies, today announced a new, pioneering study on organ preservation technologies conclusively demonstrates the efficacy and safety advantages of Hypothermic Oxygenated Perfusion (HOPE) using the innovative VitaSmart™ Perfusion System. The multicenter clinical trial, named Bridge to HOPE by sponsoring company Bridge to Life Ltd., has just been published online in JAMA Surgery. The Bridge to HOPE clinical trial was the pivotal trial reviewed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), leading to the recent de novo clearance of the VitaSmart™ HOPE Perfusion System. 

The study, titled “Portal-Venous Hypothermic Oxygenated Perfusion for Liver Transplantation: The Bridge to HOPE Trial,” is the first multicenter, randomized trial conducted in the United States to evaluate the clinical impact of end-ischemic HOPE through the portal vein alone in liver transplantation using high-risk extended criteria donors, including both Donation after Brain Death (DBD) and Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD) grafts. The study enrolled 219 recipients across 15 U.S. transplant centers and was performed using the investigational VitaSmart™ HOPE System. The study focused on higher-risk donor organs, where advanced preservation techniques can meaningfully increase utilization and improve post-transplant outcomes. 

The protocol was designed with a blinded central assessment of complications and achieved early closure due to statistically superior results for the VitaSmart arm. 

The VitaSmart™ HOPE System was recently launched in the US for use with donor livers following static cold storage and prior to transplantation. The FDA de novo clearance established a new regulatory classification for hypothermic oxygenated perfusion in liver transplantation in the United States.

Bridging AI Protein Design and Experimental Validation 

Artificial intelligence has accelerated protein amino acid sequence design; however, translating these computational designs into functional proteins remains a key challenge in protein engineering. Protein activity, stability, folding, and expression are influenced by complex structural and biochemical factors, often causing discrepancies between in silico predictions and experiments. 

To address this gap, the study introduced an Ontology Reinforcement Iteration (ORI) framework, integrating protein ontology with reinforcement learning from wet-lab feedback. Experimental data, including protein expression levels and functional activity, were continuously fed back into the model enabling iterative optimization of protein sequences and improved design accuracy. 

Cell-Free Protein Synthesis Accelerates the AI Design Loop 

The researchers subsequently utilized Sino Biological’s XPressMAX™ Cell-Free Protein Synthesis Kit to enable rapid protein expression and functional screening. Protein-coding sequences cloned into the kit’s expression vector and added to the proprietary cell-free reaction system supported rapid design–build–test cycles.

The certification process lasted 2 years and 7 months under the MDR Class III pathway for high-risk absorbable implantable medical devices, without equivalence routes or exemptions.

ORBETELLO – Tragedia sfiorata e lunghissime ore di lavoro per i soccorritori nella notte scorsa lungo il tratto maremmano della Strada Statale 1 Aurelia. Un pauroso incidente stradale ha visto un grosso autotreno, carico di prodotti alimentari e merci destinate al settore della ristorazione, uscire improvvisamente fuori strada mentre percorreva la corsia in direzione sud. Per gestire la complessa emergenza sono scattate immediatamente le procedure di soccorso che hanno visto mobilitate in forze le squadre dei vigili del fuoco del comando provinciale di Grosseto e gli uomini del distaccamento territoriale di Orbetello.

La dinamica del sinistro è ancora in corso di accertamento da parte delle autorità, ma l’impatto della sbandata è stato violentissimo. Il pesante automezzo, dopo aver perso aderenza con l’asfalto, ha invaso le aree adiacenti alla carreggiata andando a schiantarsi dritto contro un edificio civile situato a bordo strada. Nel violento urto il tir ha letteralmente demolito e distrutto un annesso della struttura, andando purtroppo a colpire in pieno anche un deposito di gpl interrato presente nel terreno pertinente all’abitazione.

Il personale dei vigili del fuoco, arrivato sul posto a sirene spiegate, si è messo immediatamente al lavoro per estrarre l’autista del mezzo pesante, rimasto ferito e intrappolato all’interno dell’abitacolo accartocciato. Una volta completate le delicate manovre di estrazione dalle lamiere, l’uomo è stato affidato alle cure dei sanitari del 118, giunti sul posto con le ambulanze per prestare i primi soccorsi e disporre il successivo trasferimento in ospedale. Fortunatamente non si registrano ulteriori feriti tra i civili, in quanto l’annesso dell’edificio travolto e devastato dal tir è risultato essere completamente disabitato al momento del drammatico impatto notturno.

Oltre al soccorso del conducente, le operazioni dei pompieri si sono concentrate sulla delicata messa in sicurezza del mezzo pesante e sulla massiccia serie di verifiche tecniche necessarie a monitorare lo stato del deposito sotterraneo di gas gpl rimasto coinvolto nell’incidente, scongiurando così il rischio di pericolose perdite.

Sul posto sono intervenuti gli agenti della polizia stradale e i carabinieri, incaricati di eseguire i rilievi di competenza utili a ricostruire l’accaduto e di gestire la viabilità stradale. I vigili del fuoco sono tuttora impegnati sul luogo del sinistro nelle difficili manovre di raddrizzamento dell’autotreno, propedeutiche alla successiva rimozione del mezzo con i veicoli del soccorso meccanico. Proprio per consentire il completamento in sicurezza di tutte le operazioni di soccorso e recupero, la corsia sud della Statale 1 Aurelia resta provvisoriamente chiusa al traffico con pesanti ripercussioni sulla circolazione della zona.
